Purchasing Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages and executes key processes and interactions with key vendors to support drug product manufacturing , packaging, and labelling of final product.
Activities include purchasing and accounting, vendor oversight and relations, issue resolution, communication and collaboration with key stakeholders and partners to ensure the required material are released on schedule and meets all necessary requirements. Manage purchasing including AP in coordination with project management and accounting.
Order, track and enter using Oracle NetSuite and project tracking tools.
Cross train with R&D purchasing team. Work with inventory / material handling team to track and audit inventory levels.
Manage purchase of equipment and other assets for the manufacturing operation. Work with the manufacturing and accounting department to correctly log data in Oracle NetSuite. Refine asset tracking systems to support regulatory and financial needs.
Ensure accurate and timely external supply chain information is available for key stakeholders and management processes
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) in business, operations, supply chain, or relevant discipline. Hands on experience using accounting (such as Oracle NetSuite) and inventory management software
Experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry preferred Purchasing in a manufacturing environment preferred
Experience starting/setting up a new external supply chain organization, tools, and processes
Background working with ERP/MRP/Supply Chain systems and tools
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both spoken and written)
